The 1979 BMW M1 Procar was a modified version of the BMW M1 which was produced between 1978-1981. The car was used in the BMW M1 Procar Championship. The series ran for two years, between 1979 and 1980.
The "Treasure Hunter" Edition of the BMW M1 Procar was released on June 22nd, 2012 for SpeedBoost. It features a Treasure Hunter livery, Gromlen race-tuned parts, 2-star Skill Mods and Aftermarket Parts featuring an unique "EX0TIC" License Plate. The "Orange" edition was released on March 28th, 2014, and is the In-game Cash equivalent of the M1 Procar. It comes completely stock without any pre-equipped parts installed to it.
For Pursuit Outrun and Team Escape the BMW M1 Procar can be used as a good escape vehicle. Due to its heavy weight it can go through roadblocks fairly easy but it doesn't have the weight needed for colliding with rhinos without being thrown off-course. But because of its responsive handling it can dodge them without any major difficulties.
