The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione first appeared as a concept car at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. In 2006, Alfa Romeo announced that it would go into production. The differences between the Concept and the 8C aren't big, the main one being the rear-hinged hood. There were 500 units built between 2007 and 2009.

Red[]
The "Red" edition of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione was released on January 3rd, 2012, for SpeedBoost, and was also the first car to be released in 2012. The car comes with pre-equipped Amerikon Speedsystems street-tuned parts.
A-Spec[]
The "A-Spec" edition of the Alfa Romeo 8C Comepetizione was released on December 16th, 2012, and was the first car ever to be released in the Spec-series. The car features a variety of Skill Mods and different pro tuned performance parts. The livery of the A-Spec features an Alfa Romeo logo on its hood, and also comes with unique Aftermarket Parts. The car is also part of the A-Spec Car Pack which can be obtained from the Web Deals section of the Need for Speed: World website for 20,000. On June 24th, 2015, the "A-Spec" edition was made available for purchase with in-game cash to celebrate the anniversary of Alfa Romeo's founding as part of the End of the World event.
Black[]
The "Black" edition is the In-game cash variant of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. It was released on September 26th, 2014 as part of the IGC Weekend Special and is completely stock with no pre-equipped parts available. On June 24th, 2015, the "Black" edition's price was lowered to celebrate the anniversary of Alfa Romeo's founding as part of the End of the World event.

The car has a stock top speed of 308 km/h (191 mph) for Class A. Its acceleration is strong but lacks power when compared to other cars in its class. The car has also an average nitrous output. The handling of the car is good and very responsive. However, the 8C can spin out easily.
