The Mazda MX-5 NC version was introduced in 2005 and is the 3rd generation of the Mazda MX-5 series. The Mazda MX-5 NC received an increased wheelbase and larger fenders then. The NC is powered by a 2.0L MZR Inline-4 engine that produces 170bhp at 6,700 RPM.

Editions

Blue

The "Blue" edition was released as a Top-Up offer for 17,500 on August 9th, 2011 alongside the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997 MK2). The Top-Up offer was then removed on August 30th, 2011 but the MX-5 "Blue" came back into the Car Dealer on December 13th, 2011.

The car could also be obtained in the Amazon Bronze Starter Pack which could be obtained on Amazon.com between March 22nd, 2012 to March 9th, 2013. The pack also contained 3,500 , a Pontiac GTO '65 "Red Juggernaut" edition and a "V3NMOU5" License Plate.  

Red

The "Red" edition was the In-game Cash version of the Mazda MX-5. It was made available on February 29th, 2012. The "Red" edition was then retired from the In-game Cash car rotation on June 13th, 2013.  

Overall Performance

Achievable Classes

The Mazda MX-5 has a stock top speed of 217 km/h (135 mph) which is average for many Class D cars. It has decent acceleration but may not be strong enough for competing with other cars in its class. Its nitrous output is also weak. Its handling on the other hand is good and responsive. The MX-5 is capable of doing high-speed cornering well.

For Pursuit Outrun and Team Escape the Mazda MX-5 can perform well. Because of its narrow and small body it can go through roadblocks fairly well. With its responsive handling, the MX-5 is capable of dodging heavy police vehicles such as rhinos. However, as the MX-5 has a light weight, it cannot take head-on collisions with rhinos very well.
