The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was in production between 1992 and 1996. The car is powered by a 2.0L Inline-6 YBT Cosworth engine producing 227 bhp at 6,684 RPM.
It was built for competition in Group A rally racing and for several World Rally Car Classes in the World Rally Championship (WRC).
The successor of the Escort was the 1st generation of the Ford Focus RS which was set into production in 2002.
The "Red" edition was released on December 7th, 2011 and was originally available for 400,000 with a level 25 restriction. After the Car Classes patch, the price was changed to 850,000, but without the level restriction. It originally came pre-equipped with Amerikon Speedsystems tuned parts but it was removed during the Car Classes patch.

For Pursuit Outrun and Team Escape the Escort can perform well. Because of its responsive handling, it is able to dodge oncoming police vehicles such as Rhinos for instance. Its narrow body, also allows for it to easily thread through roadblocks. The Escort is average in terms of weight, as it light enough to be brought to a halt when confronting a speeding Rhino unit, but heavy enough, to smash through roadblocks and traffic. Also due to the acceleration that the Escort has, it can regain any lost speed fast.
