The Palmont Lighthouse (unofficial name) is a small, low-lying lighthouse, located on a rock in the river between Highway 142 and the I-55, in Silverton. It is used to light up an area of water at the bottom of Petersburg Dam, where there are some small docks.
It is one of only 2 lighthouses in World. The other is on the island of Beacon Point in Rockport.
