The Porsche Carrera GT is the successor of the Porsche 911 GT1 Straßenversion. The car itself is powered by a modified 5.7L V10 engine made for Porsche by the Footwork Formula One team. Porsche originally planned to produce 1,500 but the plan was discontinued in 2006 due to new airbag regulations in the United States.
The "Silver" Edition of the Porsche Carrera GT was released on September 27th, 2012, right the 10th edition of Spot the Devs. It was also the first car to be S Class car when it's stock. The car comes tuned with Gromlen race-tuned parts.
On January 9th, 2013, the Ultra edition was released as a free rental, but was removed just a few minutes later. The car comes pre-equipped with Mixed ultra tuned parts. The car also comes with 3-star Skill Mods and Aftermarket Parts as well.
On December 19, 2014, the Red edition was released as a IGC weekend special. The car comes stock with no pre-equipped performance parts or Skill Mods.
It is generally best suited in street tracks in areas like Silverton and Rosewood, although the Carrera GT is considered by some to be more useful in Pursuit Outruns and Team Escapes. It is an agile car and will evade police vehicles well and is also fairly heavy enough to go through roadblocks. It cannot stop Rhinos head-on, but it can evade a pack of these SUVs due to its agility.
