The Renault Sport Mégane R.S. (Cup 250) was unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The car comes with a 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 motor installed.

Editions

Yellow

The "Yellow" edition was released on October 19th, 2011. It comes pre-equipped with Amerikon Speedsystems tuned parts.

White

The "White" edition was released on February 5th, 2013 as part of the in-game Cash rotation. It does not feature any parts.

Cop Hatch

The "Cop Hatch" edition was released on November 29th, 2011. It features working cop lights, Gromlen tuned parts, two-star skill mods, and a French Gendarmerie themed cop livery.

A-Spec

The "A-Spec" edition was released on April 11th, 2013. The car comes pre-equipped with various parts, three-star skill mods, number of Aftermarket parts and a Spec livery. On September 9th, 2013, the "A-Spec" edition could be obtained individually by topping-up 50,000 for a limited time. The car can only be obtained via the A-Spec Car Pack from the Web Deals section of the Need for Speed: World website and costs 20,000.

Overall Performance

Achievable Classes

The Renault Sport Mégane R.S. has a stock top speed of 259 km/h (160 mph) which is average for Class C. It has average acceleration and nitrous output. Its handling though is very good and responsive. It's very stable during high speed cornering and can do quick and sharp 90 degree turns. The car also doesn't suffer from understeer either. Due to its handling it can be very good for technical tracks with a lot of corners.

The Renault Sport Mégane RS is not the best choice for Team Escapes or Pursuits. As it's extremly light, crashing into a roadblock can cause it to get stuck. It may also be hard to disable police cruisers. But it has very good handling, so it can dodge Rhinos with ease.
